Leopard Drags Away 4-Year-Old Migrant Labourer’s Son at Budgam Brick Kiln

Budgam, Sep 30, KNT: Tragedy struck in Najan village of Beerwa, Budgam, when a leopard dragged away a 4-year-old migrant labourer’s son from a brick kiln, resulting in his death.
Local sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that Ajeet Kumar, son of a labourer from Bihar, was attacked by the leopard while playing near the brick kiln owned by a local Ghulam Nabi Wani.
Locals discovered the injured boy at a distance from the kiln and rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
This horrific incident has left the locals and the migrant labourers terrified.
Locals said that they had spotted the leopard in the Najan village two days prior and alerted wildlife authorities, but their pleas were ignored. [KNT]
