Srinagar, July 6, 2024 (KS):- The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir V.K Birdi said that encounters are still ongoing at both Chingam and Modergam Kulgam

According to the IGP, Kashmir as per news agency Kashmir Scroll few dead bodies have been spotted at the encounter site in Chinigam.

Further details about the encounter, including the identities of the deceased and the circumstances leading up to the confrontation, will be shared once the encounters will conclude.

Birdi said that killing of terrorists is a significant achievement while there are some fatalities and injuries from our side as well.

He said that these encounters are far from the national highway while security forces keep tracking the terrorists movements.

He said that contacts were established after search operations were made on specific inputs about the terrorists movements in these areas.(KS)
