KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns in Kashmir
Srinagar, February 14: (JKNN) The Chief Engineer, Distribution of KPDCL has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across multiple areas of Kashmir to facilitate essential maintenance works on transmission lines and grid infrastructure.
Shutdown on 16 February 2026
The shutdown of the 33 KV Pampore–B.K Pora line will affect electricity supply to:
BK Pora, Khanda, Checkpora, Chatergam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Wagoora, Aribagh, Checkpora and adjoining areas from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
On the same day, the 33 KV Harnag–Khanabal Tapline (via Dak Bunglow) shutdown will impact:
Dak Bunglow, Seepan, Batapora and nearby localities from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
Shutdown on 17 February 2026
The shutdown of the 33 KV Arampora–MES line will disrupt power supply to MES Kupwara from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
Additionally, maintenance of the 220 KV Wagoora–Pampore Circuit-I Bay at Grid Sub Station Pampore will affect a wide range of areas including Rawalpora, Sanat Nagar, Chanapora, Hyderpora, Humhama, Baghat, Barzullah, Rambagh, Natipora, Pampore, Tral and several adjoining localities from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM.
Public Advisory
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements during the shutdown periods. The power utility stated that the interruptions are essential to ensure system reliability and improve power infrastructure across the region.
