J&K Govt Announces 5% DA Hike for 6th Pay Commission Employees
Srinagar, Oct 28 (KNC): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday sanctioned a revision in Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees still drawing pay as per the 6th Pay Commission, increasing the rate from 252% to 257% of basic pay with effect from July 1, 2025.
Government Order as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, issued by the Finance Department, directs that arrears for July to September 2025 will be paid in cash during October, and the revised DA will be included in monthly salaries from October 2025 onwards.
The Finance Department clarified that fractions of DA amounting to 50 paisa and above will be rounded off to the next rupee, while amounts below 50 paisa will be disregarded. (KNC)
