11/11/2024 (JKNN) In a troubling series of events today, J&K Bank’s customers found themselves in a state of distress and disappointment as the bank’s Mpay mobile banking system faced another unexpected outage.
Alongside this, several physical branches were also reportedly unable to function properly due to similar system failures, affecting countless individuals and businesses relying on the bank’s services.
One customer, Khalid, voiced his frustration while speaking to JK News Nation, describing the challenges he faced due to the outage. Khalid shared that he urgently needed to transfer funds to a business partner to fulfill a time-sensitive transaction. However, as he attempted to use the Mpay service, he was met with repeated failures in processing his transaction.
Left with no other choice, Khalid decided to travel across districts, hoping to complete the transaction in person.
However, upon reaching his home branch, he was informed by the staff that the system remained down, leaving him unable to proceed with his business transfer. “I have never seen such poor service in all my years of banking,” he expressed, visibly frustrated with both the service and the bank’s handling of the situation.
What further aggravated Khalid and many others was the attitude of bank employees, who he described as unhelpful and dismissive. “It’s not only the lack of reliable service that frustrates us; the bank employees also show no empathy or professionalism in handling our concerns,” he added, noting that he is now seriously considering closing his account with J&K Bank.
Many other customers shared similar experiences, recounting the hardships faced due to these frequent outages in a bank they trusted with their financial needs. Social media has been filled with complaints from customers unable to access funds or carry out transactions due to the instability of J&K Bank’s digital and in-branch services.
As customer grievances continue to pile up, an urgent plea has been made to the bank’s management and relevant authorities to take necessary steps to restore reliable service. Khalid, like countless others, hopes that this appeal will lead to improved stability in J&K Bank’s digital infrastructure and better customer service from its staff, ensuring such disruptions do not continue to disrupt the lives and businesses of J&K Bank’s valued clients.
