Sri Lanka, needing just 30 runs off the last five overs, collapsed dramatically, with India pushing the game into a Super Over. Washington Sundar picked two wickets in consecutive balls, restricting Sri Lanka to just two runs. Suryakumar Yadav then sealed the win by hitting a four off the first ball of the Super Over.Earlier, Sri Lanka seemed on track to prevent a clean sweep with Kusal Perera’s steady batting. Despite India’s shaky start, losing four wickets in the first six overs, Sri Lanka’s openers Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis provided stability during their powerplay.Sri Lanka’s disciplined bowling and fielding restricted India to 137/9.
