Power Shutdown Schedule Announced Across Kashmir for May

SRINAGAR, MAY 09: (JKNN) The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a planned power shutdown in various parts of Kashmir to facilitate essential maintenance and infrastructure upgrades. As per the Chief Engineer, Distribution, several 33KV lines will remain shut on scheduled dates, affecting the power supply in multiple areas.

Shutdown Details:

May 11, 2025:

Watrehail Tap Line: Shutdown from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
Affected Areas: Waterhail, Sholipora, Lobertal, Dadina, Prisabad, Waterwani, Charangam, Banet Punchgound, Uttligam, and nearby localities.

Nowbugh Chadoora Line: Shutdown from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
Affected Areas: Chadoora Town, Sogam, Repora, Dawlatpora, Panzan, Lalgam, Wathoora, and surrounding regions.

Nowbugh Chararisharief Line: Shutdown from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
Affected Areas: Kakawring, Yousmarg, Charar Town, Nagam, Hafroo, Hayatpora, Bizgo, Lulipora, and adjacent areas.

May 12, 2025:

Railway/Kund Tap Line: Shutdown from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
Affected Areas: Kund, Waltengoo, Razloo, Chowgam, Lammer, Sopat.

Budgam-Kremshore Line: Shutdown from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM.
Affected Areas: Old Kremshore, Arigam, Shamsabad, Raithan, Brenwar, Khansahib, and adjoining areas.

Budgam-Ichgam Line: Shutdown from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM.
Affected Areas: Ichgam, Choon, Kanir, Hanjoora, and nearby localities.

GIS Tengpora Lines (KP Bagh, Exhibition, Narakara): Shutdown from 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM.
Affected Areas: KP Bagh, Jawahar Nagar, Rajbagh, Narkara, Gangbugh.
Note: Exhibition and Batamaloo will be supplied through the 33KV Silk Factory line.

May 13, 2025:

Watrehail Tap Line: Shutdown continues from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Delina-Wagoora Line: Shutdown from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
Affected Areas: Sangrama, Wagoora, Kreeri, Ichloo, Kalantra.

May 15 & 17, 2025:

Delina-Wagoora Line: Shutdown from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on both days.
Affected Areas: Sangrama, Wagoora, and surrounding regions.

May 19, 2025:

Cheshmashahi-Brein-Nishat Line: Shutdown from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
Affected Areas: Dalband, Tulip Garden, Taj Vivanta, BSNL X-Change, Nishat, Foreshore, and nearby locations.

May 20, 2025:

GIS Theed-Shalimar Line: Shutdown from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
Affected Areas: Shalimar, Harwan, SKUAST, Telibal, Ahrbal, Chandpora.

Delina-Wagoora Line: Final shutdown from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.

KPDCL has urged consumers to cooperate during these essential works and has assured timely restoration once tasks are completed.
