DSEK Orders Temporary Closure of Schools in Baramulla, Kupwara, Gurez, Airport Zones

All Government and Private Schools of Baramulla, Kupwara, Sub-Division (Gurez) and Schools Falling in the Proximity of Srinagar and Awantipora Airport Shall Remain Closed on 9th and 10th of May 2025 as Precautionary Measures: Director School Education Kashmir

Srinagar, May 8 ,2025 (JKNN): In view of precautionary measures, the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has ordered the closure of all government and private schools across Baramulla, Kupwara, and Sub-Division Gurez on May 9 and 10, 2025. The directive also includes schools located in the vicinity of Srinagar and Awantipora airports.

The decision has been taken as a preventive step, with authorities emphasizing the importance of ensuring safety and minimizing any potential disruptions during these dates.

All Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of the mentioned districts and areas have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the closure orders.
