Social media is filled with pictures and videos of their walks, their treks, and their Sunday missions, which often include long walks or trekking expeditions covering up to 20–30 kilometers after the Fajr prayer.

Speaking to JKNews Nation, Dr. Mumtaz and Dr. Altaf shared that their journey of walking began over a decade ago.

“We’ve been walking regularly for many years. It’s not just a habit—it’s a way of life. We encourage everyone to walk. It’s the simplest and most effective way to stay healthy,” said Dr. Mumtaz.

They emphasized that walking helps not only with physical health but also with mental peace and emotional balance. “In today’s fast-paced life, people are under stress. Walking gives clarity, positivity, and energy. We want to spread this message to every household,” added Dr. Altaf.

The Kashmir University Joggers have proven that one doesn’t need fancy gyms or expensive diets to lead a healthy life. All it takes is consistency, willpower, and a pair of walking shoes.

Their message to the public is clear and powerful: “If you care about your health, start walking today.”
