28/05/2024 (JKNN) Today in Srinagar, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) continues its anti-encroachment campaign across multiple areas, including SKIMS and Lal Bazar.
Under the supervision of Mr. Mohammad Syed, Anti-Encroachment Officer for the North Zone, and team leader Javid Ahmad Sheikh, the dedicated squad is actively clearing unauthorized structures and reclaiming public spaces. The drive targets key areas such as SKIMS, Soura, Maternity Hospital, Lal Bazar, Nowshera, Kanitar, Saderbal, University Road, and Nigeen. This initiative aims to enhance urban management, ensuring accessible public areas free from illegal encroachments, thereby contributing to the city’s infrastructure and maintaining order in public spaces.
Authorities affirm the drive’s continuity until all targeted areas are cleared, fostering a more organized and accessible environment for the community.
