11/07/2024 (JKNN) CAA spokesperson Saifullah stated that air traffic controllers saw smoke and sparks emerging from the aircraft’s left landing gear during its landing and quickly notified the pilots. They also contacted the airport’s fire and rescue services immediately.Upon reaching the scene, CAA fire vehicles extinguished the flames on the landing gear, according to the statement.“The fire tenders responded promptly and swiftly controlled the fire in the landing gear, preventing a major disaster,” Saifullah said. “All 276 passengers and 21 crew members were safely evacuated using an inflatable slide.”
