121 Kgs of Seized Narcotic Substances Destroyed In Srinagar: Police
Srinagar, January 24(GNS): Police on Friday said that as part of the nationwide campaign initiated by the Home Minister of India, the Drug Disposal Committee of District Srinagar has destroyed 121 kilograms of seized narcotic substances.
In a handout to GNS, the police said that these drugs were confiscated in connection with multiple FIRs registered across Srinagar.
The destruction process was carried out after obtaining the necessary orders from the competent court. The committee, comprising senior officers from various wings of the police, conducted the operation at the designated incineration facility in Lassipora, Pulwama.
The destroyed substances included Heroin, Brown Sugar, Crystal Meth, Fukki, Charas, and Codeine Phosphate, among others.
This initiative underscores the commitment of the Srinagar Police to eradicate drug abuse and contribute to the broader national effort to create a drug-free society.(GNS)
