Mohammad Rizwan, scoring an unbeaten 86, and Iftikhar Ahmed, contributing 47, formed a crucial partnership of 108 runs, guiding Pakistan to a commanding total of 252 for 7 in a 42-over match after rain interruptions.
However, Kusal Mendis, with an impressive 91, led Sri Lanka’s valiant batting effort, supported by Charith Asalanka (49 not out) and Sadeera Samarawickrama (48), as they successfully chased down the target within the stipulated 42 overs.
