Illicit timber recovered in Sopore : Police
Sopore, Feb 15 (KS) : Police in north Kashmir’s Sopore claimed to have recovered an illicit timber in the town.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll, on a specific information, a team of Police Station Sopore headed by SHO Sopore Insp. Nissar Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS raided the house of Ghulam Hassan Malik son of Sona ullah Malik of Adipora Sopore.
He said during the search police party was able to recover 45 planks about 23 square feet illicit timber from house premises.
The officer said that in this regard a case FIR No. 32 under 379 of IPC Act and 26 of Forest Act registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been set into motion. (KS)
