Heavy Snowfall Warning Issued for Jammu & Kashmir
Aadil Maqbool, an independent weather forecaster, has predicted the arrival of a fresh Western disturbance set to hit Jammu and Kashmir from 23 October onwards. Based on various international weather models, the region can expect the season’s first snowfall, with a 60% likelihood over the plains of Sonamarg, Gulmarg, Doodhpatri, and Peer Ki Gali.
Farmers, particularly apple growers, are urged to protect their crops before 23 October as heavy rain and snow are expected. The Western disturbance may persist from 23 to 26 October, with a 55% chance of occurrence, though forecasts could change. More updates will be shared in the next few days.
