Dual Power-Centre System Undermines Accountability’: Imran Shah
Major Political Shift as Prominent PDP Workers Join NC
Anantnag | Nov, 29:: National Conference (NC) senior leader and District Vice President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, on Saturday welcomed a group of prominent PDP workers into the party during a public meeting held at Seepan, Anantnag. Those who joined the National Conference included Ali Mohammad Dar, Abdul Khaliq Rather, Mohammad Iqbal Rather, along with several other notable workers.
Addressing the gathering, Imran Shah said that the dual power-centre system currently operating in Jammu & Kashmir was weakening the principle of accountability. He noted that certain officials were taking undue advantage of this situation to implement anti-people measures. Shah stressed the need to fully empower the elected government so that public issues can be addressed effectively and the people’s interests safeguarded.
Residents of the area raised several developmental concerns, including the widening of the Khanabal–Batpora–Seepan road and the upgradation of interior link roads. Shah assured the public that he would take up these demands with the Hon’ble MLA Anantnag-West, Mr Abdul Majeed Larmi, and work towards securing early approval for the proposed projects.
Following the public meeting, Imran Shah also reached out to district administration officials regarding the issues highlighted by the local residents. He reaffirmed the National Conference’s commitment to strengthening grassroots communication and ensuring that people’s grievances receive prompt attention.
