Government Appoints Irfan Manzoor, JKAS, As ‘Complaint Officer’ Under Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act

Srinagar, Oct 6 (GNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has appointed Irfan Manzoor, JKAS, as ‘Complaint Officer’ under Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019.
The appointment has been made vide Section of the exclusive Act – aimed to safeguard the rights of transgenders.
“In terms of Section 11 of ‘The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act 2019’, sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of
Mr. Irfan Manzoor, JKAS, Under Secretary to the Government, General
Administration Department, as ‘Complaint Officer’ in the General
Administration Department”, reads the order, a copy of which lies with GNS. (GNS)
