Girl drowns in Kishanganga river while collecting firewood, rescue operati on underway
Srinagar, Aug 30 (NVI): A 24-year-old girl drowned in the Kishanganga River in Bandipora while collecting firewood, officials said.
An official told NVI that a girl who was reportedly collecting firewood near the bank of the Kishanganga River drowned here on Friday.
He added that the girl was identified as Zytoona Banoo, a resident of Hussangam Tulail. Police, along with locals, have launched a search operation to retrieve her body.—(NVI)
