Ganderbal Incident: Police Issues Statement

Ganderbal, February 11 (KS): The police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have issued a statement regarding a family dispute that resulted in the death of one person.

According to the statement provided by the police to News Agency Kashmir Scroll, on February 11, 2024, the Ganderbal Police Station received information from reliable sources about a scuffle between two families over a land dispute at Bonzilla Wussan in Ganderbal. During the altercation, Gh Mohammad Sheikh, son of Ambir Sheikh from Bonzilla, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to PHC Wussan. Unfortunately, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

The police spokesperson mentioned that a case FIR No. 23/2024 under section 302 IPC has been registered at PS Ganderbal, and the accused person has been apprehended. The investigation is still ongoing. (KS)
