Four Gamblers held in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Feb 21 (KS) : Police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district arrested four individuals involved in gambling activities, and confiscated the stake money and a deck of playing cards.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that under the guidance of SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta-IPS, a police team led by SHO PS Safapora Sub-Inspector Gulzar Hussain and supervised by Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal Gh Hassan-JKPS apprehended four gamblers at the link road Barkati Mohalla Safapora-Hakbara. They seized a total of Rs.5800 in stake money and a deck of playing cards from the suspects.

The official said that the accused individuals have been identified as Hilal Ahmad Malla, S/O Ali Mohd Malla from Chandergair; Sajad Ahmad Sagoo, S/O Ab Rehman Sagoo from Hakbara; Mohd Ramzan Fafoo, S/O Bashir Ahmad Fafoo from Hakbara; and Gh Qadir Shairgojree, S/O Noor Mohd Shairgojree from Hakbara.

He said that a case, FIR No. 04/2024, has been registered at PS Safapora, and further investigation is underway.(KS)
