First FIR Registered Successfully in Srinagar Under New Criminal Law
Srinagar, July 01, KDC: In a significant development, the first FIR has been successfully registered in Srinagar under the new criminal law provisions, officials said.
According to Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com the FIR, bearing number 22/2024, was registered at the Chanpora police station, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Sadder subdivision here.
The case has been registered under sections 135-1(b) and 303(2) BNS of the new law, marking a notable milestone in the region’s legal enforcement framework, said a police officer.
He confirmed that Chanpora police station has registered first FIR in Srinagar under the new criminal and emphasized their commitment to upholding the new legal standards. (KDC)
