Woman found dead along river Jhelum in Sumbal Bandipora belonged to Srinagar, says official
Srinagar, Feb 24 (KS): Body of a woman recovered along river Jhelum in Sumbal area in Bandipora has been identified, an official said.
The official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that body of a woman was spotted by some people in the Sumbal area on Saturday afternoon.
“The body was lifted from the site for identification and necessary medico-legal formalities,” the official said adding after due process the body was found being of one Khatija Begum, wife of Abdul Rehman Bhat of Kanidewar Nowhatta in Srinagar.
“The body has been handed over to the respective family for last rites,” the official said further. (KS)

Srinagar, Feb 24 (KS): Body of a woman was on Saturday afternoon found lying along river Jhelum in Sumbal area of Bandipora district on Saturday.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that an body was found lying on Jhelum banks near Ansari Motors in Shilvat Sumbal.
“A police team is on the site to recover the body for identification and necessary medico-legal formalities,” the official added. (KS)
