Father rapes minor girls after their mother’s death, impregnates them; arrested
Accused has been allegedly raping his daughters for three years.

The police in Kurar in Mumbai arrested a 36-year-old man for allegedly raping his two minor daughters (aged 14 and 13 years) and impregnating them. The accused had also mercilessly assaulted the younger daughter with belt when she objected to his atrocities. Their mother had passed away nearly 10 years ago.

The accused father has been sexually assaulting them for the past three years. The girls told their ordeal to their grandmother and neighbours, but no one helped. Finally, with the help of an NGO, the matter was reported to the police and the accused father was put behind the bars.

According to the police, the two girls lost their mother nearly 10 years ago and after that their Nalasopara-based aunt looked after them for five years, but she too left them after her marriage. Their father, a driver by profession, married another woman.

The accused man was sexually assaulting the girls for the past three years. He had threatened the girls not to tell anyone or else he would kill them. He would abuse them when their stepmother was away.

Recently, their aunt had come to their place. While talking to her, the two broke down and narrated their ordeal to her. Their aunt was shocked and scared too. She then told her friend in the vicinity who with the help of some other person contacted a social worker, who is also a member of Mahila Sangharsh Samiti.

“The two told me their entire story while continuously weeping. They also told me that besides sexually abusing and assaulting them, their father also used to ask them to bring their friends home and convince them for giving him pleasure,” said the social worker, who is the complainant in the Case

I took the girls to the police station. Their medical examination report clearly indicated sexual assault. At the hospital, doctors also found out that the two are pregnant by over 50 days,” she added.

The police acted on her complaint and arrested the accused father. He has been charged with sections 376 (2)(f), 376 (2)(n), 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and 4, 6, 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.TIE
