Fake News Alert: Birla Open Minds International School Pampore Targeted by Malicious Rumors
Pampore, November 4, 2024 — (JKNN ) A photoshopped screengrab of a fabricated news report maligning Birla Open Minds International School is circulating on social media, raising alarm among the school community. This misleading information is an attempt to damage the institution’s reputation, prompting officials to consider filing a First Information Report (FIR) against those responsible.
The school has categorically denied the allegations in the altered report, which misleadingly quotes a source that does not even mention the school. Principal Dr. Mehnaz Rehman stated, “We are investigating the matter, as this is criminal defamation aimed at harming our reputation. The school will not be bullied by these attacks. We stand tall with our achievements.”
Birla Open Minds International School Pampore is one of the first schools in the region to focus on experiential learning and modern pedagogy, carving a niche for itself within a short span of time. The school’s innovative approach to education has been widely recognized, adding to its stature and appeal in the area.
In September, Birla Open Minds International School Pampore was honored with the “Best Emerging School” award at the Cfore School Rankings 2024. The school was ranked 1st in Srinagar and 2nd in Jammu & Kashmir in the Best Emerging Schools category. This accolade highlights the school’s rapid growth and commitment to excellence in the education sector.
Parents and community members are urged to exercise caution and verify information from credible sources before sharing, as the school works to protect its integrity against these unfounded attacks.
