Explosive Material, Other Ammunition Recovered During CASO in Sopore: Official
Srinagar, Feb 8 (GNS): A cache of explosive material and other ammunition was recovered during a cordon-and-search-operation in Sopore area of Baramulla district, an official said on Thursday.
The official told GNS that a cordon-and-search-operation was launched at Krankshiven village in connection with an FIR number 307/2023.
During the searches, the official said, explosive material, IEDs, a rusted pistol with a magazine and ammunition of SLR/AK-47/Pistol were found and recovered at the residence of one Rashid Najar.
“Rashid Najar is the brother of slain militant Qayoom Najar”, the official said adding further investigations into the matter are underway. (GNS)
