Employees’ Federation Submits Memoranda Across Kashmir, Pushes for OPS Restoration and Pay Parity
Srinager 16th February 2026 :- (JKNN) As per the directions of the National President Dr. Manjeet Singh Patil, all State Presidents of chapters and Presidents of affiliated organizations were instructed to submit a memorandum highlighting the genuine demands of employees, particularly the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), time-bound submission of the 8th Pay Commission report, and uniformity/equality in the pay structure of Central and State Government employees etc.
In compliance with these directions, a delegation of the All India NPS Employees Federation, J&K Chapter/ Jammu Kashmir Employees Forum (JKEF)led by President Rafeeq Malik, along with General Secretary Shiekh Aakash, Chairman Muntazir Gulzar,District President Srinager Mr.Tariq Ahmad & other UT Executive Members, presented a memorandum of demands to the Worthy* *Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir,Shri Anshul Garg.
*Simultaneously, at the district level*:
*The Srinagar District unit, headed by District President Shiekh Tariq along with district executive members, submitted a memorandum to the Worthy Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar*.
*The Baramulla District unit, led by Chief Spokesperson Showkat Nazir, along with district members including Executive Member Rameez Ahmad and Tehsil President Pattan Riyaz Ahmad Paray, submitted the memorandum to the Worthy Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla*.
*The Bandipora District unit, under the leadership of District President Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad, submitted the memorandum of demands to the Worthy Deputy Commissioner Bandipora*.
*The remaining District Presidents will submit the memoranda in their respective districts tomorrow*.
*In addition, the UT leadership of JKEF/AINPSEF, J&K, met the Honourable Member of Parliament Chowdhury Mohammad Ramzan at his office chamber. During the meeting, various issues concerning the employees of Jammu and Kashmir were discussed in detail, with a special emphasis on the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme. The Honourable Member of Parliament assured the delegation of his full support and committed to strongly raising the OPS demand in Parliament
