Drugmulla Army Camp Successfully Recovers Fire Truck Stuck near Middle School, Chailpatti
Kupwara, Feb 04 (KS) : A fire truck, which had been stranded due to heavy snowfall and inclement weather, was successfully rescued by the Drugmulla Army Camp.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that recognizing the importance of the asset, the Army camp extended their assistance in retrieving the vehicle.
The official said that to overcome the challenge of the truck being stuck in the snow, the Army camp established a manual pivot to carefully pull the vehicle out. Despite the adverse weather conditions, the team’s brave efforts led to the successful extraction of the Fire Truck, nearly four hours after the operation began.
The fire truck, however, lacked the necessary mobility on the snowy terrain. Recognizing this, the Army team provided their own vehicle’s non-skid chain to ensure the safe movement of the fire truck. With expert precision, the Army team expertly mounted the chain onto the truck’s wheels the official said.
He further added that, they cleared the route ahead and created a temporary track using stones and woods, allowing the fire truck to navigate the slushy terrain and reach the main road.(KS)
