Driver dies, three others injured in Udhampur road accident

Udhampur, Mar 31 (KS):- A driver lost his life while three others were injured in a road accident in Udhampur district of the Jammu division on Sunday.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a Bolero car bearing registration number JK14K-0594 rolled form into a deep gorge at Khatangal on Chenani-Ladha link road in Udhampur.

He said that in the incident the driver identified as Rinku (32) son of Gyan Chand resident of Madha in Chennai Tehsil lost his life on the spot.

He further added that three more persons identified as Neeraj Singh, Ramesh Singh and Raj Singh all residents of Kither Chennai were injured who were shifted to hospital for treatment.

He said that the accident apparently happened due to the rash driving of the driver.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance by registering a case while investigation has been taken up.(KS)
