Chemist arrested for possessing, supplying contraband substance in Gbl: Police
Srinagar, Oct 19 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Police in Ganderbal alongwith Executive Magistrate concerned arrested a chemist for possessing and supplying contraband substance to the youth and sealed a medical shop at Wakoora.
In continuation to the investigation of case FIR No. 287/2023 of PS Ganderbal, one accused namely Hilal Ahmad Ganie son of Gh Mohi-ud-Din Ganie resident of Wakoora who had been arrested by Ganderbal Police before some days, confessed that Ganie Medical Shop at Wakoora is supplier of contraband substances to the local youth of the area, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
Acting swiftly on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar, Police Party led by Incharge PP Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal alongwith Executive Magistrate concerned raided Ganie Medical Shop at Wakoora, police said.
“During search, contraband substance was recovered/seized on the spot and the accused (Chemist) identified as Mehraj-ud-Din Ganie resident of Wakoora was arrested for possessing and supplying the contraband substance to the local youth. Moreover, the Medical Shop was also sealed by the Executive Magistrate 1st Class Wakoora on the spot,” police said.
