BSF soldier killed in Pak rangers firing in Samba: Officials

Jammu, Nov 9 (GNS): A soldier of Border Security Force (BSF) was killed in “unprovoked” firing by Pakistan Rangers along the border in Sambba district of Jammu region, officials said on Thursday.
They said at about 12:20 a.m., Pakistan Rangers started firing at Narayanpur post in Ramgarh Samba. BSF also retaliated and the firing between the two sides continued for some time.
A Head Constable with BSF namely Lal Farnn Kima was injured and immediately shifted to Community Health Centre Hospital at Ramgarh. After initial treatment, they said, the injured soldier was referred to GMC hospital Jammu for advanced treatment. However, the soldier succumbed to the injuries on way to the GMC, they added.
When contacted, Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary confirmed to GNS the killing of the soldier. (GNS)
