“Infiltration Attempt and Ongoing Ambushes near LoC: Indian Army’s Alertness in Baramulla”

22/10/23 (JKNN) Based on specific intelligence inputs regarding an infiltration attempt by heavily armed terrorists across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, ambushes were positioned to intercept their movement.

The terrorists attempted to infiltrate, taking advantage of adverse weather conditions and difficult terrain.

Contact with the terrorists was established at 3 PM on October 21 in forward areas near the LoC in the Uri Sector, resulting in a significant exchange of gunfire.

The operation is still ongoing, and the search for terrorists continues, as per the Indian Army’s statement
