Body of mentally unsound person recovered in Sumbal

Srinagar,Nov 05 (KS) : The body of a mentally unsound person was recovered on Sunday in the Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a male body was found at River jhelum in Sumbal by locals who later informed the police. He said the police team reached the spot and shifted the body to the nearest hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The official identified the body as Mohd Sultan, a resident of Arin Bandipora After conducting the legal-medico formalities, the body was later handed over to legal heirs for last rites, he said.
The family said the deceased was mentally unsound and was missing since from October 26.(KS)
