J&K CM Says No ‘Green Corridor’ for His Movements
Srinagar, Oct 16 (NVI) : Chief Minister of J&K Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that there will be no “green corridor” or traffic stoppage for his movements on the roads.
Abdullah instructed that the use of sirens should be minimal and that aggressive gestures should be avoided.
He called on his cabinet colleagues to adopt a similar approach, stating that their conduct should prioritize serving the public.
“I have spoken to the DG @JmuKmrPolice that there is to be no “green corridor” or traffic stoppage when I move anywhere by road. I have instructed him to minimise public inconvenience & the use of sirens is to be minimal,” Abdullah said in a post on ‘X’
“The use of any stick waving or aggressive gestures is to be totally avoided. I’m asking my cabinet colleagues to follow the same example. In everything our conduct must be people friendly. We are here to serve the people & not to inconvenience them,” he added.—(News Vibes of india)
