Big difference between now and then: Rahul enjoyed bike ride, relished wazwan at Lal Chowk, come alongwith family, enjoy fearless air: HM Shah to Congress leader Shinde

Srinagar, Sep 16 (NVI): Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday invited former Congress minister Sushil Kumar Shinde to Kashmir stating there is a big difference between past and present.

Shah said Rahul Gandhi  enjoyed bike rides, ice cream and snowball fights with his sister and that Shinde can bring his family and take a stroll in Lal Chowk and breath in a fearless air.

Shah used this contrast to highlight the BJP’s success in securing Kashmir and improving the region’s stability.

Shah, who was addressing a rally in Ramban district, referred to recent comments by Shinde, a senior Congress leader from Maharashtra, about feeling fearful during a visit to Lal Chowk in Srinagar while serving as home minister.

“You might have heard of Shinde from Maharashtra, who expressed fear about visiting Lal Chowk. I invite him to come now with his children and grandchildren. No harm will come to you, as we have eradicated terrorism and ensured security in Kashmir,” Shah said.

Similarly, the Home Minister also commented on Rahul Gandhi’s recent visits to Kashmir, noting, “Rahul Baba is seen enjoying bike rides, ice cream, and snowball fights with his sister Priyanka Gandhi while criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

He continued, “You criticize Modi, but such visits were impossible during your tenure. The BJP government’s efforts have made it possible for you to undertake your Bharat Jodo Yatra here.”

In the meantime, he recounted how he and Modi had planned to hoist the national flag at Lal Chowk but were only able to do so after two days in Ramban, thanks to the helicopter.—(News Vibes of India)
