At 24.6°C, Srinagar Records 3rd Highest Minimum Temperature in 132 Years
Srinagar, July 28 (KS):- Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 24.6°C, marking the third highest minimum temperature in 132 years.
This temperature is notably 5.8°C above the normal for this time of year.
The city’s sec ond all-time highest minimum temperature was recorded on 26 July 2021, at 24.8°C.
The record for the highest minimum temperature remains at 25.2°C, which was recorded on 21 July 1988.
This significant deviation from the norm underscores the impact of the current heatwave affecting the region. Residents and authorities are urged to take necessary precautions to deal with the unusually high temperatures.(KS)
