Assembly Elections: Nomination of Sarjan Barkati, 25 Others Rejected
28/08/2024 SRINAGAR: (JKNN) The nomination form of Sarjan Barkati, was rejected by election officials during the scrutiny process for the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials told Kashmir dot Com that the nomination form of Sarjan Ahmad Wagay, also known as Sarjan Barkati, was rejected today by election officials in Shopian district, South Kashmir. Barkati, a notable cleric from Reban, PS-Zainapora, faced disqualification after the returning officer of 36 AC Zainapora completed the scrutiny process.
According to the Election Commission of India’s website, 25 other candidates from various assembly segments scheduled for the first phase of Jammu & Kashmir assembly elections have also been disqualified. (KDC)”
