“Arrest of Three Individuals from Gath Colony in Noorbagh: Srinagar Police Takes Action for Disruptive Behavior at Marriage Function”
16/10/2023 (JKNN) : In a recent incident in Srinagar, three individuals identified as Tahir Sheikh, Mehrajuddin Sheikh, and Danish Qayoom, all residents of Gath Colony, were apprehended by local law enforcement authorities.
Their arrest came in the wake of their alleged involvement in a series of disruptive activities at a marriage function hosted in Noorbagh.
The accused individuals stand accused of gate-crashing the event, causing considerable commotion, and engaging in improper behavior towards women present at the venue.
To address these transgressions, the Srinagar Police initiated legal proceedings by filing a First Information Report (FIR) under the jurisdiction of Safakadal Police Station, designated as FIR number 139/2023.
The charges brought against the three individuals include violations of various sections of the Indian Penal Code, specifically sections 147, 323, 354, 392, and 427.
These sections pertain to offenses ranging from rioting, voluntarily causing hurt, criminal assault on women with the intent to outrage their modesty, robbery, and causing damage to property.
