Army foils Pakistani drone attempt along Poonch border
Poonch, Feb 11 (KS): Army soldiers successfully foiled a drone infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LOC) in the Poonch sector.
Reliable sources informed the News Agency Kashmir Scroll that a drone approached the Nar and Mankote areas near the Rustam post. However, vigilant soldiers spotted the suspicious drone and fired shots, prompting the drone to retreat.
Notably, there has been an increase in drone sightings near the J&K border area over the past year. Pakistani drones are often deployed to drop drugs and weapons inside Indian territory to support terrorist activities.
Nevertheless, the security forces have effectively protected the border areas by maintaining a high level of alertness and thwarting any attempts of infiltration by terrorists. (KS)
