26/11/2023 (JKNN) KOCHI: Four students, two men and women, have died following a stampede at the Tech Fest held at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in Kerala’s Kochi on Saturday.

A heartbreaking incident unfolded at the Cochin University of Science and Technology’s music festival, where a stampede tragically claimed the lives of 4 students and left over 60 others injured.
Playback singer Nikhita Gandhi, slated to perform at the event, expressed profound sorrow, stating she was “heartbroken & devastated” by the shocking turn of events.
The stampede ensued as rain disrupted the live concert, prompting attendees to scramble for shelter, resulting in this tragic loss of young lives.
Nikhita Gandhi extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving families. The disaster occurred just before her scheduled performance in the university’s open-air auditorium during the annual festival.
Numerous injured students, some in critical condition, are currently undergoing treatment at various hospitals.
