BURARI: A 15-year-old girl was subjected to an acid attack by a 16-year-old boy, as reported by the police. The incident occurred on Friday in the Burari area of Delhi.
Local residents apprehended the boy and subsequently handed him over to the police. Authorities were alerted by the locals who witnessed the acid attack, prompting a police team to swiftly reach the scene and apprehend the accused.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the boy, allegedly frustrated over a dispute with another girl, resorted to randomly attacking the victim as a way of expressing his anger.
The police have registered a case under IPC 326B 341 against the boy, who has been taken into custody.TOI
