Shopian Encounter Update Two Local LeT Militants Killed Identified ; ADGP Kashmir Links One to Killing of Kashmiri Pandit
Srinagar : (JKNN) 10/10/2023 : In a recent operation, two militants associated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist organization were neutralized during a gunfight in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
According to official Reports militants have been identified as Morifat Maqbool and Jazim Farooq, who was also known as Abrar.
This joint operation was conducted by security forces in collaboration with intelligence agencies.
The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir has confirmed that one of the militants, Abrar, was directly linked to the targeted killing of Kashmiri Pandit, the late Sanjay Sharma.
Meanwhile, this successful operation stands as a significant achievement for the security forces in their ongoing battle against terrorism in the region. (JKNN)
