Major Crackdown on Wild Bung Cultivation in Soura: Police, Revenue Officials, SMC Team and Locals Destroy Huge Cannabis Crop in Bolachipora soura area

Srinagar, Aug 18: (JKNN) In a major drive against the cultivation of narcotic substances, Soura Police, along with the SHO, Tehsildar Eidgah, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) team and respectable local citizens, launched a focused operation against wild bung (cannabis) cultivation in the Bolachipora area of Soura srinagar.
During the joint drive, the team identified and destroyed a huge quantity of wild bung plants, sending a strong message against the cultivation and spread of cannabis in residential and other vulnerable areas.
Speaking to JK News Nation, police said that Srinagar Police carried out a focused drive against wild bung (cannabis) cultivation as part of its ongoing efforts to curb drug-related activities.
Srinagar Police reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against narcotics and urged citizens to come forward with information regarding the cultivation, trafficking or abuse of drugs.
Police stressed that active cooperation from the community is vital to building a drug-free society, particularly to protect young people from falling victim to substance abuse.
The joint participation of police, revenue officials, the SMC team and local citizens reflects a collective effort to identify and eliminate sources of narcotics and keep communities safe.
Srinagar Police said such drives will continue as part of its ongoing campaign against the drug menace.
