Man dies after falling from pole in Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 28, KNT: A labourer died after falling down from a pole while repairing a cable of a telecom company in the Tulsi Bagh area of Srinagar uptown on Monday.
Official sources said that a worker sustained injuries after falling down from a pole when he was fixing the cable of the telecom company Airtel. He was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Sources added that the electric supply was off when the victim was fixing the cables, however, the victim received current produced by the generator that was running.
The deceased has been identified as Ghulam Hassan Bhat, a resident of Khanpora village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Police in this regard have registered a case. [KNT]
