J&K Govt Announces Key Police Transfers, Constitutes New Cyber Crime Coordination Centre
Srinagar, July 17 (GNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday ordered transfers and postings of five senior IPS and JKPS officers and constituted the JK Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (JK4C).
As per Government Order, issued by the Home Department, the reshuffle has been made “in the interest of administration” with immediate effect, a copy which lies with GNS.
Sheikh Junaid Mehmood, IPS, I/c IGP, has been posted as CEO of JK Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (JK4C).
Sameer Sharma, IPS, DIG Armed Jammu, has been transferred and posted as DIG, JK Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (JK4C).
Mohd Yaseen Kichloo, IPS, Principal STC Talwara, has been posted as SSP, Administrative Wing, JK Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (JK4C). He will also hold additional charge of SSP, Cyber Operations Wing (JK4C).
Ramnish Gupta, SSP CICE Jammu, has been posted as SSP, Cyber Investigation Wing, JK Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (JK4C).
Shwetambri Sharma, SP, awaiting orders of posting, has been posted as SP, Online Crime against Women and Children (OCWC) Wing, JK Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (JK4C).
The order further stated that the pay of the transferees shall be drawn against overall reserves till further orders.
All the above officers have been deemed to have been relieved with immediate effect.
The move comes days after the government issued GO No. 371-(ISA) Home of 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen cyber policing and coordination in J&K.(GNS)
