Firefighter Injured While Dousing Blaze at House in Srinagar’s Lal Bazar
Srinagar, July 2: (JKNN) A firefighter was injured while battling a fire that broke out at a residential house in the Gousia Lane area of Umar Colony, Lal Bazar, Srinagar, on Thursday.
Officials said the fire erupted at the house of Rayaz Ahmad Tramboo, son of Late Ghulam Mohammad Tramboo, causing damage to the second storey of the building.
The blaze was brought under control by personnel of the Fire and Emergency Services And Police station lal bazar srinagar ,preventing it from spreading to nearby structures.
During the firefighting operation, firefighter Zahoor Ahmed Shah, son of Ghulam Rasool Shah (Belt No. FM-1281), sustained injuries and was immediately shifted to PHC Lal Bazar for medical treatment.
Officials confirmed that no civilian loss of life was reported in the incident. The preliminary cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical short circuit. Further investigation is underway.
