Hundreds Attend Massive JKAP Meeting at Muddassir Bhat’s Residence in Srinagar; Participants Voice Anger Over NC’s ‘Unfulfilled Promises’

Srinagar, June 24: (JKNN) A large public meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) was held on Wednesday at the residence of J&K District Vice President (Youth) and senior Apni Party leader Muddassir Bhat at Ellahi Bagh, Buchpora in Srinagar.
The gathering witnessed the participation of hundreds of people from different areas and was attended by several senior leaders of the Apni Party, including
senior leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, including former Minister and Provincial Secretary of JKAP, Mohammad Ashraf Mir; former MLA and Youth President of JKAP, Yawar Dilawar Mir; and former DDC and Kashmir Coordinator of JKAP, Shabir Reshi, besides several other party leaders and workers.
The leaders, while addressing the gathering, said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have repeatedly been disappointed by the promises made by the National Conference (NC). They alleged that many commitments made to the public remained unfulfilled and accused the party of failing to address the concerns and aspirations of the people.
Yawar Ahmad Mir and Mohammad Ashraf Mir said that the people had been promised development, employment opportunities and better governance, but according to them, those promises did not translate into reality.
They further stated that the people have now begun demanding accountability from those who sought votes in the name of public welfare.
The meeting also saw enthusiastic participation from local residents, many of whom expressed resentment and disappointment over what they described as “false promises” and “unkept commitments” made by the National Conference.
Several participants openly voiced their anger and said that they no longer have faith in parties that, according to them, failed to fulfil their assurances.
Many attendees declared their support for senior Apni Party leader Muddassir Bhat and stated that they would stand by him in future political endeavours.
They said that their support would be based on leadership that remains connected with the people and works sincerely for addressing their issues.
Addressing the gathering, Muddassir Bhat thanked the people for their overwhelming participation and support. He assured them that the Apni Party would continue to highlight public issues and strive for the welfare, development and better future of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting concluded with party leaders reiterating their commitment to public service and calling for greater political accountability and responsive governance in the Union Territory.
