Horse Skull Found in Drinking Water Spring in Rajouri’s Kotranka; Locals Allege Negligence by Jal Shakti Dept

Jammu, June 8 (GNS): Residents of Ward No. 5 in Panchayat Halka Dhar, Kotranka sub-district, were shocked after a decomposed horse skull was found inside a spring that supplies drinking water to the area.
Bagh Hussain, a local, said he went to the spring as usual amid water shortage and discovered the skull after opening the lid. Former Sarpanch Ajaz Ahmed told GNS that the spring feeds the water tank for Ward No. 5 of Panchayat Dhar.
Panchayat residents said they have submitted a written complaint to Pedi Chowki and raised concerns that the water may have been contaminated.
They have approached the Jal Shakti Department, the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, and the police, demanding a thorough probe and action against department officials for alleged negligence.(GNS)
