Srinagar, May 10, KNT: A CRPF personnel was killed after being hit by a motorcycle during naka checking duty near Lasjan on the New Bypass in Srinagar on Monday, officials said.
The accident occurred when a motorcyclist identified as a resident of Brein Nishat Srinagar, allegedly hit the CRPF personnel while riding a motorcycle.
Officials said the CRPF personnel was performing naka duty at the time of the incident.
The impact of the collision proved fatal, and the security personnel died on the spot, officials added.
Police and security officials reached the spot soon after the incident and initiated necessary legal proceedings.
