Thousands Participate in ‘Run for a Drug-Free Kulgam’ Marathon Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan
KULGAM, May 10:(KNC)In a major push towards promoting a healthy and drug-free society, thousands of people on Saturday participated in the “Run for a Drug-Free Kulgam” marathon organised under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, flagged off the marathon from Sports Stadium Kulgam in the presence of officials, youth, students, and members of civil society.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of different age groups, spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and highlighting the importance of fitness and healthy living.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said the initiative aims to encourage youth to stay away from drugs and adopt a positive lifestyle through sports and physical activities.
The participants raised slogans promoting the message: “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Fitness, Yes to Life,” reaffirming the district administration’s commitment towards building a drug-free society.(KNC)
