Menstrual Hygiene Awareness and Distribution Drive Held at Palpora.
Eva Safety door Association , in collaboration with Baala Group , today organized a menstrual hygiene awareness and sanitary pad distribution drive at Palpora, Srinagar.
The initiative aimed to promote awareness about menstrual hygiene and address related health concerns among women. During the program, sanitary pads were distributed, and participants were educated on the importance of maintaining proper hygiene during menstruation.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson of Eva safety door Association, Mrs. Irfana Zargar, popularly known as the “Pad Woman of Kashmir,” reiterated the organization’s commitment to raising awareness about menstrual health issues. She stated that the association has been working tirelessly for several years to bring menstrual hygiene into public discussion and ensure that women are better informed about health and hygiene practices.
She further noted that the active participation of women in the program reflects a positive shift towards openness and awareness regarding menstrual health. “We will continue to organize such initiatives in the future to reach more women and spread awareness across communities,” she added.
The event was attended by the Vice _chairman General Secretary, and other members of the_ association, along with volunteers who played a key role in organizing the drive.
The Chairperson also expressed her gratitude to the public and volunteers for their cooperation and support in making the program a success.
